Yellowstone National Park - Day 2 - Wildlife, Waterfalls, and Mountain Views

Our second day in Yellowstone consisted of mostly driving in the northern section of the park. We saw wildlife, canyons, streams, waterfalls, and beautiful mountain views. This section of the park has less forest and it feels more open. It is also less traveled and we loved it. We hope you enjoy the photos and videos below.

We got stuck in a large traffic jam for close to two hours while a bison herd of around 50 head weaved in and out of the cars. They were grazing along both sides of the road bringing traffic to a halt. Some crazy people got out of their cars to get up-close photos with these creatures…clearly they had not seen the YouTubes showing these encounters. Most of the crazy people were foreigners and had probably never seen Bison, so I will give them a break, but their exuberance just made the traffic jam worse. We just wanted out. However, since we were stuck anyway, we did manage to get a few up-close photos ourselves. I mean why not?
